Programmer, builder, and adventurer.
Thank you for stopping by! I‘m Wojtek — a technologist, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner passionate about building things that matter.
Origins
Born in the 80s, my early childhood world was profoundly shaped by three elements. A computer that opened doors to infinite magic, chess that taught me strategic thinking, and LEGO Technic that sparked my love for engineering and constructing complex structures.
Technical Journey
My professional tech journey began with Unix systems, where I discovered the elegant complexity of operating systems. Over two decades later, this journey has evolved through roles as a programmer, Director of Engineering, and CTO. I‘ve architected large-scale systems, built teams, and tackled complex technical challenges, always keeping one principle at heart — KISS.
As a functional programming advocate, I value immutability, functional purity, and a declarative style over imperative. These principles guide my thinking when designing and building robust, maintainable systems.
Knowledge Sharing
In the early days before modern JavaScript frameworks, I authored a book on JavaScriptMVC — one of the pioneering MVC frameworks. I‘ve since led professional training programs for development teams across organizations, helping hundreds of developers advance their skills in web development, web standards, system architecture, and security. Currently, I‘m writing a book about AI that explores how LLMs will fundamentally reshape how we work and live in the coming decades.
Global Perspective
My path has led me through some of the world‘s most vibrant tech ecosystems—from Warsaw‘s emerging scene to London‘s fintech hub, Copenhagen‘s hygge-inspired design innovation, New York‘s dynamic startup landscape, and San Francisco‘s technology frontier. The people and communities in each place have added unique layers to my understanding of everything from technology to culture.
Present Focus
Today, I‘m the founder and CTO of Anonmo, a platform designed by M&A professionals for M&A professionals. It enables data-driven decisions by analyzing sensitive information on over 200 million companies worldwide to create tailored long lists.
Philosophy
My journey is guided by words of Lazarus Lake (Barkley Marathons director) that resonate deeply with both entrepreneurship and life.
Since 2011, I have been working remotely, which has allowed me to live and work in various locations. I don’t work for anyone. I work for the project. I value autonomy and focus on delivering results, avoiding bureaucracy, incompetence, and unnecessary complexities that impede progress.
